Brion Hayman is the kind of person who keeps adding tools to his arsenal of skills.
A former educator turned entrepreneur, Hayman has built a career around being open-minded, learning consistently, and willful to jump into new challenges—most recently as the creator and host of Bare Wires, a long-form interview podcast produced out of a studio he built from scratch on his own property.
In this Rockland News interview, Brion describes how the show grew from an everyday moment of perspective—meeting someone he’d mistakenly “figured out” at first glance—into a full-fledged project that required design, construction, top-tier audio/video gear, and a steep learning curve in hosting, research, and production.
Across his work life, Hayman’s likes building things—businesses, systems, community initiatives, and people. He talks openly about learning by doing, refining his process as he goes, and centering stories that show how individuals navigate setbacks, reinvention, and personal growth.

Brion is also deeply community-connected, with ties to Stony Point and Tompkins Cove, and a habit of mentoring others—whether that’s young entrepreneurs, community initiatives, or kids getting introduced to snowboarding for the first time. Yes. snowboarding. Plus, music and more.
