This week we conclude the current study in 1 Samuel with an examination of King Saul's two great sins in chapters 13 and 15. We will be discussing specifically what it looks like to be a person after God's own heart. Read the stories and see what you can deduct from Saul's mistakes about what it looks like to have a heart like His.

This week we continue our examination of the first King of Israel's (King Saul) rise and fall. We are examining how and why Saul rejected the profound opportunity God extended to him for an abundant life. This week we will be looking at Saul's initial calling in 1 Samuel 9-11 and see things that - had he remembered them - his story may have gone better. Read the chapters and write down how God was faithful to Saul during this time. How would remembering this have helped Saul later? Write down the ways God has been faithful to you (don't forget the Gospel!!) and consider how remembering these things might help you. Also, read Deuteronomy 8:2!

This week we begin a new study in 1 Samuel. We pick up where we left off in 1 Samuel 8. This series will be an examination of the rise and fall of King Saul, the first king of Israel, and will be called "Chasing After Empty Things". Read the text and consider how Israel is chasing after empty things rather than allowing God to lead them to fullness.

This week we conclude our series called "Basic Christianity, a simply presentation of the Gospel" with an examination of what it means to "walk by faith, not by sight." If Jesus is the lifeline or rope that God has provided for our salvation all we have to do is hold onto Him for God to save us - how we strengthen our hold on Him? How is our faith useful for living?

This week we continue our series on Basic Christianity with an examination of the 4 things Jesus Himself calls us to do in order to receive the free gift of salvation that He offers.

This week we continue our simple presentation of the gospel with an examination of the heart of Christianity - the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Take some time and read 1 Corinthians 15 - why is the resurrection so vital to the Christian faith? What does Jesus' resurrection mean to your life right now?

This week we discuss God's solution to our problem of sin. He sent Jesus to make things right. Take some time to read Romans 5:1-11 and Hebrews 2. Consider the gravity of your sin, what Jesus did to save you, and how what He did saves you.

This week we continue our series called "Basic Christianity, a Simple Presentation of the Gospel" with a look at sin. Last week we established that God created us to be in relationship with Him. Today we discuss the problem everyone of us has (Romans 6:23) that prevents us from having that relationship - and that is sin.
