This week we are looking at the famous story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego and the fiery furnace. Take some time and read Daniel 3. Why does Nebuchadnezzar build the statue and make the demands that he does? How do our three heroes respond and why? What does their behavior tell you about what they valued most in life?

This week we examine Daniel 2 and see how Daniel reacts to a scare situation. How do you react to fear? What does or would your reaction to fearful situations tell the world about God? If you read ahead, read through Daniel 2 and consider how Daniel handles the situation and how his handling of it affects King Nebuchadnezzar's attitude towards God.

This week we continue our study in Daniel. We will see his first test when he is asked to do something that went against his faith. Read Daniel 1:8-21 and consider how he conducted his "protest" and what happened as a result.

This week we begin a new study in the book of Daniel. Read Daniel 1:1-7 and pay attention to what Babylon does to try to indoctrinate Daniel and his three companions and consider how these same things happen today to Christians in the world.

This week we close out our series called “It Starts At Home” with a look at the importance of having authentic relationships with our kids so that they can have authentic relationships with other people. Consider what the Bible says about the importance of real, deep relationships with other people. Also consider what the greatest obstacles are today that stand between us and real relationships.

This week is the second message in the series “It Starts at Home”. In this sermon, entitled “Romance Starts at Home”, we will be delving into the book of Proverbs and noting in particular that the “passing on of wisdom” is one of the overarching themes of the book and a key component of successful parenting. This message will also encourage parents to not shy away from some of the difficult issues facing our kids today especially surrounding the topic of romance and sex. Reading the first chapter of Proverbs would be a great way to prepare for Sunday’s message.

This week we start a new series entitled “It Starts at Home”. Our first message will focus on how faith starts at home. We will be taking a look at the importance of being imitators of God throughout our children’s lives, Ephesians 5:1-2. We will also take a look at how to keep our families from becoming a 3-ring circus. Take a look at Deuteronomy 6:4-9 in preparation for Sunday’s message.

This week we conclude our first series in Acts with a look at the death of the first Christian martyr Stephen. Read Acts 6:8 to 7:1 and pay particularly attention how Stephen is loving his audience by sharing these truths no matter what it costs him. Consider how the church can love in such a way.

This week we examine two of the greatest and constant threats to the ministry of the Church: division and burnout. In Acts 6:1-7 we find both of these things threatening a growing and vibrant church and we find the apostles solution summarized in one great word: Delegation! Read the text and consider how delegation made the difference.

This week we are looking at Acts 4:32-5:11 and the strange story of Ananias and Saphira. As we examine this story we will be considering in particular what sort of habits and mindsets kill a church. I would encourage you to read the story and, as you do, ask yourself “why?” with each development. Why did Ananias and Saphira do what they did? Why did Peter say what he said? And why did God respond the way He did?
