Week 1 of our series, "Prodigal Father."

In this series, we are going to dive deep into a story that Jesus told that is foundational to Christianity, and yet Christians often do not fully understand the depth of what Jesus was teaching. Jesus told this story because He lived in a world that is similar to ours, where people have all kinds of ideas of who God is, what salvation is, and what it means to be right with God. Jesus wanted to give us His perspective on those things through the story of the prodigal son.

We live in a divided world right now and 2020 feels more divided than ever. Opinions are everywhere and people aren’t hesitant to share their opinions with others. If our mission as a church is to be a safe community where anyone can discover, develop, and deepen a relationship with Jesus, how do we share our opinion without compromising the safety of others we are called to love? In this message, we look at some stances Jesus had and how he used them to invite those who had differing opinions and lifestyles into a relationship with Him and how we can follow His lead.
