  • Stillness in a Restless World (Psalm 46:1-11)
What is the effect of the "Noise" on us? The constant need for input? The never-ending schedules? The championing of multitasking? How has our Culture shaped our thought patterns and use of the moments in our waking hours? And what might God think of all of the never-ending movement and noise? Psalm 46 and its message of Stillness and Knowing Who God Is may be even more relevant to us than at any time in history.

  • Slaying the Sluggard Within (Proverbs 24:30-34)
A proper view of WORK is a major theme in Proverbs. And to help us see the

caricature of someone called THE SLUGGARD. So what makes someone a
Sluggard? How do I see pieces of the Sluggard within myself? And how can
    God transform those pieces?

  • The Absent Lord (Matthew 25:31-46)
In Matthew 24-25, Jesus tells 4 consecutive parables that share some common
threads. They are judgment scenarios in which a "lord" is absent for a
time, others are left with tasks to do in his absence, and upon his return
some are ready while others are not. The questions for the others upon his
return are in relation to their "stewardship" of the tasks put in their
charge. But if we read these parables closely, we realize that the lord has
not been absent after all. He's actually still been among them in
    disguise...
