  • Those With Impure Motives (Acts 8:9-24)
Seeing to the needs of the body often creates an opportunity for a bridge
to the Gospel message addressing the needs of the soul. But what about when
some refuse to cross that bridge? What if their involvement with the
Christian community and "response" to the Gospel is from impure motives?
What if there is selfish agenda at work? We look at a couple of biblical
examples as well as some counter-examples to help us see how to respond to
those who may be in it for the wrong reasons.

them by their fruits. We look at an Old Testament passage from Jeremiah and
a New Testament passage from 2 Peter to discern what the fruit of a false
    prophet/teacher is.

  • Is God Unfaithful? (Psalm 44:1-26)
Psalm 44 raises some honest concerns about God's faithfulness to His
promises. These are questions relevant to anyone feeling like a victim of
injustice or divine abandonment. The New Testament returns to these
questions to provide answers in the Gospel of Jesus.
