Episode 55 is up!
In which the man has to riff off the cuff, again, and end up with an old joke he likes to torture people with. WhileRocky sleeps atop Man's feet. So it goes.

In which we share another remembrance of the Patriarch, and also remember the birthday of a beloved and departed sister. And Rocky lays under the desk snoring, and laying on the Man's feet like a ton of bricks. Even sound asleep, he intuits the moments his Man needs the comfort of his proximity and presence. Rocky hasn't woke up, he just felt the Man and moved to him. Uncanny really.

In which Rocky is supposed to carry the ball, but doesn't. Prefering to eat and drink and leave the Man to do the heavy lifting. He's not a dumb dog.

In which the Man retells a story his Da, the Patriarch told him. Then gets all emotional and breaks down in tears in the telling. But what good is a story if it doesn't make you laugh or cry or both simultaneously? And the Man's Da was apparently a hell of a storyteller. Man misses his Da, and wishes he were still around, we'd have him on constantly. And we'd call this Rocky, the Man, and the Patriarch show. Big shoes to fill. We carry on traditions and keep telling stories.

Entirely unplanned, but we have a reading of a Gil Scott-Heron poem that could not pass our desk unacknowledged. Not now, 41 years after he wrote and read it and it rings truer now than it did then. I thank my Brother PhilBone for the most timely reminder.

In which we have so much things to say right now, and can't possibly fit it all into one episode. So Rocky and the Man split the load and keep marching.

In which the Man has crazy ass dreams, and Rocky makes an executive order, causing the production staff to come in at a ridiculous hour to do the show. But as Rocky told the Man "Truth and Authenticity". And we, as one, are committed to that mission statement.

In which the Man is gimpy, so I Didn't  pull too hard on him. And we have guests and get all philosophica.

In which Rocky takes the helm and says his piece, and the man shuts the fk up fer once then they bot go to sleep cause tomorrow's another day, with more stories.

In which the Man fesses up and lays bare some brutal and uncomfortable truths about himself in keeping with Rocky and His mission statement for the Report that demands authenticity and truth. Every damned time.
