GUTHRIE, Okla. — Ruthton area resident Sadie DeRuyter placed well at the National Little Britches Rodeo Association meet. DeRuyter placed fourth in the short go on July 5 at Lazy E Arena, recording a time of 24.939. The trail course is not as easy as it sounds, and there was a new pattern for the short go. Contestants first had to traverse a bridge, followed by retrieving a piece of mail from box, backing through two barrels and working a gate.
