Kicking off the 2022 Podcast "season" with a little update on what's been going on, what I'm committing to do this year, and a few teasers as to some of what we'll be talking about. Happy New Year everybody!

The second of a two-part discussion stemming from the incredible, and almost overwhelming, positive feedback from Episode 18, Episode 21 touches on:

- What we do when we encounter those who DON'T want a more emotionally and intellectually mature conversation about difficult issues;

- The reason there IS anger amongst so many after witnessing the events of the 2021 U.S. Afghanistan troop "withdrawal" and the resulting humanitarian crisis; and

- Who the ONLY people are that can bring about accountability, civility, and righteous leadership during these time.

While Part One was more "educational" in tone, Part Two starts to tread into the shallow waters of a "rant" a little bit, but one in which - hopefully - inspires some true reflection, and possible action.

2020 was hard on a lot of us. ...Cov!d, riots, the election, etc. How Chris was affected was no different than many of you, but he spent some time trying to wrap his head around why he felt "stopped" and unable to move forward with a lot of creative content in 2020. In this podcast episode, he shares what he discovered for himself, what the direction of the RHR podcast will be/include in 2021 moving forward, and a few thoughts on some of the relevant topics of the day. In this episode, Chris talks with Jay Scott, of Jay Scott Outdoors, about the Arizona Game and Fish Commission's proposed ban on Game Camera for the "taking" of wildlife [game animals] (after discussing the 200" Whitetail that one of Chris' landowners just harvested), and what folks need to do if they want their voice/opinion heard in the matter.

Every year about this time, Chris is bombarded with folks asking his opinion/advice regarding running game cameras for elk – most often from folks hunting/scouting on public land, in Over-the-Counter, high-country units. Well... in this podcast... Chris pulls in the expertise of Jay Scott, of Jay Scott Outdoors – who is the Hunting Programs Manager, and general "Elk Manager" of the Aught Six Ranch in South-central Colorado – for his expertise and opinions on elk behavior, movement, and what he sees during his exhaustive 365-day a year game camera survey of the elk utilizing the Ranch that he manages. Buckle up for a GREAT discussion on elk habitat use, movement, and behavior with regard to what we all can – or can't – learn by running game cameras during the summer for elk!
