The timing of this release may be a little ironic considering it's off the heel of #hurtbae (definitely not intentional). However, this hashtag serves as a catalyst to a two-part series about being in abusive relationships.

In this episode I share my story, that few people know about, with former CPS worker Lenny Jennison of Victims' Voice. My story is not unique by any stretch of the imagination, considering that 1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men have been victims of abuse by their romantic partner in their lifetime. However, I believe it delves deeper than where #hurtbae only scratched the surface.

For those who know me, this story may come as a shock...especially the ones who know the "I don't take shit from anyone" side of me--trust me I was not always that way (and honestly to this day I'm still embarrassed).

In this week’s episode, The Sorry Not Sorry, Gorgo is joined again by Roger as they discuss Facebook and free speech, an episode of The Hidden Brain titled The Deep Story (more later), Trump’s infamous tweets, boring sex (yawn) and if you can truly be friends with an ex...along with other random tangents as they get off topic per usual.

The two go into a lengthy discussion about this new phenomenon the “oppression” of the white working class. This is spurred from haven recently listened to The Deep Story and that focused on one woman’s journey to get to know people who were fundamentally different in their beliefs, political affiliations and views of the world. While the two can understand the plight of the working class white, they tend to give no fucks….because...well...life.

In this week’s episode Gorgo goes on a bit of rant. She’s not happy about a few things and is going to give you all an ear full. She revisits an earlier topic on fuck boys and tries to make sense of why guys make plans that they have no intentions of keeping. She also circles back to her Snapchat (sippisfinest) rant that was briefly mentioned in the previous episode. Gorgo and Tony review one of the latest hits to women’s health--the Senate’s vote that is poised to decrease the amount of free birth control. Don’t worry, Gorgo sets the record straight with her vision of what a world would look like without birth control. The two then try to dissect president-elect Trumps speaking style--both come into agreement (which is rare) that he won over many Americans with salesmen-like tactics. Finally, the shows ends off on another rant about picture Gorgo received that showed that lawmakers in Mississippi had a state-named holiday (Great Americans Day) over Martin Luther King day.
