What about cars?  I think most of us have probably heard about Jeeps getting hacked.  But I've also seen/heard of some other tools out there that will hack almost any vehicle out there from 2007 on.   

Or medical supplies?  In 2019, the FDA came out with concerns over internet-connected insulin pumps being vulnerable to hacking.

Today Logan and Ally talk about the recent happenings, or whatever you want to call them, in North Korea.  Is Kim Jong Un dead or alive?  Well, the sources are inconsistent.  We're seeing a lot of single source with no verification and a long history of Korean conflict - what message is being portrayed in the media?  Does it actually make sense?  Let's take a second to self-assess what is going on.  There is a lot of history, like how we pushed North Korea to China, nuclear weapons, etc.  What other players are present in this game?  What benefit would it give them to sow some disinformation (cough Russia cough)?  Can we trace the line forward?  

What about Zoom?  What do you think when you hear the headline "Dropbox Has Been Paying Hackers to Prove Zoom Security Issues Since 2018"?  It's not what you would think.

• Single source failure - Who said it? If you cant isolate the source can you verify the information? 
• Does it pass the sniff test? - Take off your lens and see if you can still make the logical leap for rationality.  
• Does it make sense? - What's the motivation for the action?

• Secure your passwords - use long, complex passwords (like Isawtheelephantdrivingdownthestreet) - it's something completely random, long and complex, but easy to remember.  
• Get a password manager - do you research to know which one works best for your situation but options like LastPass or Dashlane. 
• Enable two-factor authentication for any account that supports it 
  • Authenticator is a good app that you can use to generate your two-factor that is supported by GitHub and Facebook for example 
• Anti-virus like McAfee 
• Turn your built-in Firewall on 
• Change your SSID and make sure you have a strong password for your WiFi.  
• Make sure you keep everything patched and updated 
• Use a secure messaging app - Signal, Wire, etc.  
• Be mindful of the apps you install 
• Don't click links in emails, text messages, social media 
• Think about encrypting your laptop/computer  
  • Windows - Bitlocker 
  • Apple - FileVault 
• Use a VPN - Proton,  Nord, PIA
• Secure Email - Protonmail
• Use your phone's data instead of a public WiFi network
