With Jurassic World: Rebirth due for release this summer we thought now would be a good time to dig out our review of Jurassic World: Dominion. In this sixth film in the franchise, dinosaurs roam free amid a chaotic plot of locusts, greed, and raptor rescues. We measure it against Spielberg’s 1993 gem—tense and wondrous—and find Dominion leaning hard on CGI and nostalgia. Velociraptors chase motorbikes in Malta, legacy heroes return, but it feels like two films mashed together.

We sift through the action, crowded cast, and “plot gymnastics,” enjoying the dino thrills despite the mess. Nostalgia and dinosaurs deliver some punch, yet the sloppy execution dims the spark. We debate if the franchise still thrives or should go extinct.
