In June 2021, Oilex announced the appointment of Roland Wessel as Chief Executive Officer and as a Director of the Company.

Roland and the Board believe in the crucial ongoing role that natural gas will play in the energy transition as part of a mix of energy sources required over the next 30 years. Roland will seek to transform Oilex into a carbon-neutral company with carbon capture and storage (CCS) being one future area of focus.

You were recently appointed as Chief Executive Officer and as a Director of the Company to lead the Oilex through the next phase of its development. Roland you are a geologist with 45 years’ experience in all of the world’s major oil and gas regions. Founded and built Star Energy, the UK onshore operator of 25 oil and gas fields, through to its listing on AIM in 2004 and its sale to Petronas in 2008.

On your appointment Oilex’s Managing Director, Mr Joe Salomon, said: I look forward to working closely with Roland as we move into an exciting new phase of Oilex’s growth.” You guys sound like you are excited about the future of the company?

The big news last month was the Execution of Cambay SPA, the Acquisition will provide Oilex with 100% PI in the Cambay PSC. An important milestone in re-establishing access to high potential gas production at the Cambay gas field. You must be looking forward to the opportunity re-commence operational activities after all it has been a long journey to reach this point for the company.

The ratification of the Acquisition by the Government of India is expected to occur in the coming months, which is the last outstanding condition to completion of the Acquisition. Are we correct in saying, once you get the green light you can start the prosses of drilling plans in relation to a pilot program in India.
