The plight of refugees world wide is overwhelming yet demands a response. As followers of Jesus we have been appointed as Royal Priests (1 Peter 2:9,10). The job description of a priest is to be one who intercedes to God on man's behalf. The Father has "bestowed on His creation the dignity of causality" (Pascal). This means we get to influence the earth as we say amen to the Father's dreams, bringing Heaven to Earth. Our response to the refugee crisis is therefore one of prayer, prayer that is triggered by compassion. But prayer without action is religion in hiding (Peter Grieg - Red Moon Rising). As such we take action such as giving to FGS so that we can support Friends of Refugees.
