The groundbreaking series ran for 3 seasons, featuring a BIPOC heavy LGBTQIA cast that centered trans experiences. Our #WritinginColour author series is coming ot an end and we have saved the best for last. We interview Nigerian-American author Jadesola James (Twitter: @JJ_Nicola) about not one but two of her novels coming out in 2021. Her debut novel, The Sweetest Charade (Carina) is a fake dating, sweet heat of a romance where trains, luxury and love are abound. Her second novel, Redeemed by his New York Cinderella (Harlequin) turns the classic fairytale on its head with an edgy guy and a spunky love interest. We talked about balancing work with her writing, her Nigerian-American heritage, being at the "right place at the right time", and the greatest reward of writing.

We talked to the Kansas City native about her career as a former lawyer turned high school teacher, planner obsessions, and life as both an indie and traditional romance writer.
