  • Mr. Nobody is playing everybody - Forever Fast Podcast #13
Here's the setup: the reason Justin Lin brought Han back is because of the events of "The Fate of the Furious" (directed by F. Gary Gray) in which Deckard is paired with the fast family to help track Dom, yet there seems to be little to no struggle given that he murdered Han. They simply move on, and of course at the end when Deckard delivers little Brian to Dom, they shake hands but no mention of Han.
So, with that being said, this theory goes off of the fact that Han is alive in F9. Perhaps Lin is keeping a lid on everything Mr. Nobody's been up to so they can later reveal that Deckard was ordered to take out Han's car in order to keep him off the grid so he can protect Project Aries. Basically a reworking of the storylines. But maybe Deckard didn't know Han wasn't actually in the car. The fast family would buy the whole thing because they took down Deckard's brother, Owen. But again, maybe Nobody had everything already planned so Deckard thought Han was in the car, but bleh there are some options they can go with but I would love to hear from you.

  • The Endless Goodbye (Shine On) - for Pink Floyd
(track and notes from 2014) After listening to Pink Floyd's new & final album, "The Endless River", I was immediately inspired to create something for them, and their fans. There is no chorus, as there's nothing to come back to now that the journey's end has come, but who says goodbye can't last forever?
Recorded using FL Studio 8 XXL Producer Edition. Photo designed by yours truly. Airport & crowd sounds courtesy of Youtube.
Thanks for all of the tunes over the decades, Pink Floyd. Your music shall shine on like nothing else, eternally and internally.

  • Is Carter Verone the Eteon director? - Forever Fast Podcast #12
Speculating about the link between Monica Fuentes, Agent Hobbs & Carter Verone. Last we saw Fuentes, she was working with Hobbs (Fast Five credit scene) but then we never heard from her again. While 6 got the Shaw-storyline going, perhaps they were considering bringing Verone and her back but abandoned the idea?
If Hobbs is killed off screen, then I think the director of Eteon should be a reveal of someone we are already familiar with. Question will remain though: is Hobbs really dead? (you never know with this franchise) Though Brian and Rome took Carter down, maybe Luke Hobbs tried to do the same or even went after him following his release from prison (after 2Fast, before F5). And since we know Hobbs is connected to Monica... maybe there's something brewing for the two-part finale?

  • Superman vs Batman in 2015! - RPC #19 from July 2013
"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" was eventually released in 2016, to very mixed reviews. I absolutely adore it, the 'Martha' connection reveal worked for me, even if it only temporarily paused their battle to join forces to defeat Lex and Doomsday. Superb visuals, great action, loved the addition of Gal's Wonder Woman, just an amazing entry in Snyder's DC universe.

  • Super-Rise of Cobra (G.I. Joe) - RPC #12 from April 2013
I spotted "The Mummy" connection right away, was cool of the director to use actors from those movies. Retaliation was a fun, heavy, thrilling and action-packed sequel but quite a departure from the first installment. Listening back, I totes forgot about the Superman stuff- and why I included it. Just now I realized that's why I called the episode Super-Rise of Cobra!

  • Robocop (2014) - RPC #18 from July 2013
Great cast, big names, sadly resulted in an unrewatchable reboot. The skin-tight (well, to whom it applies) suit, forgettable plot. The reveal of how much of Murphy survived was a good, heartbreaking scene. But this movie didn't work, not alot of great chemistry, not enough setup. Odd to release it in February, just in time for Valentine's Day. I watched it once, no desire to see it again.

  • Will Superman steel the box office?! - RPC #13 from June 2013
"Man of Steel" is still a mixed bag of nuts. Audiences praise the performance of General Zod, Lois, Supes himself, pretty much perfect casting all around. If it weren't for the shaky-cam style of filming, I'd probably watch this at least every few years. Thankfully, much like JJ Abrams, Snyder abandoned the shaky-shaky after this, which delivered a more visually-pleasing BvS sequel. Listening back, eesh that intro was from the video version, I dropped that intro ages ago. This was an exciting time, as the previous Superman movie Returns was underwhelming. It, like this- had perfect casting all around, but was more of a thematic approach, rather than delivering on amazing action sequences and quote-worthy moments.
While Marvel released 4 origin movies before assembling 2012s "The Avengers", DC only released this and BvS before diving into the Justice League opportunity. I think a direct sequel to this before JL would've been a smart move. There's such a great cast, more to explore, sadly it seems we'll never get another Cavill-led Superman movie. Even in this years' "The Flash", they used SuperGirl and cameo'd some other versions of Supes but I didn't hear anything about Henry's.

  • The Hobbit film trilogy discussion - RPC #14 from June 2013
While 'There and Back Again' is a great title, I'm more pleased with "Battle of the Five Armies". It's definitely a war film, packed with one of the best action-heavy finales in film history. The cliffhanger at the end of Desolation was very pleasing, thankfully we only had to wait a year to see the next and final chapter. I'm sure Tom Bombadil will have his own movie someday, surprised it hasn't already happened though.

  • The Wolverine - RPC #17 from July 2013
While 2017s "Logan" was a much more powerful and successful entry for the character, 2013s forgotten "The Wolverine" is rarely even mentioned. The teaser for DOFP was the highlight, and while I enjoyed the characters and action throughout- it just wasn't captivating enough, not like some other X-Men movies. However, I'd watch this over X3 and Origins.

  • The Amazing Spider-Man 2 - RPC #15 from July 2013
I think TASM2 is one of the biggest, strongest sequels. Amazing action, great performances, and despite alot of storylines going on- it's massively entertaining. The first installment was a bit lacking but still a worthy chapter. After the massive success of 'No Way Home', I know fans are still wanting a third (+) installment starring Garfield.
