Listener Feedback - what is life teaching you right now?
Richard Mincey - Life is teaching me friggin patience. Which I’m not a fan of unfortunately. But I do see the positives of it. Being more patient with my son let’s me better understand him, and improve our relationship. So instead of getting on to him about the little things. I’m more understanding of why he’s acting out and can better handle the situation.
Brickitect: Your business deal with the thrift store is a tricky one. I think your offer is very fair considering you will be doing all the work and the fact that all they did was receive the donation. I would list/sell a few items and document all the time you spend to determine if it is worth it. You could also take the “teach the man how to fish” route and have them give you the 50% off teach them how to list on eBay. That’s a win for everyone. Although your finds there might dry up pretty quickly once they put it all online.
Emile Nightshade: I have one specific goal that I've always thought to be just out of reach, and through hard work and perseverance, I’ll only be able to achieve said goal at a point in time that’s beyond my control. The last two weeks have taught me that there's no time like the present to get things moving in whatever direction you want your life to flow towards. The power to influence the fate of our own success in life lies in our own hands, which is a notion I find extremely empowering.
Kelly: Everything in life has set you for the path you are on therefore they are all wins. Without Emily you wouldn’t have Beckett. We wouldn’t be friends without you being a Principal. Your hardships shaped you into you. With that said, life has been teaching me to accept where life has taken me. Through all the ups, the downs and even the off road courses, I’m in a good place. You are too. Everything will turn out as it’s supposed to so there is no point in worrying about it.
