This mix is inspired by an image of a fist interrupting unusual vertical flow of clear liquid, presented in a black & white technique. Subsequently, the mix features unusual flow between few different sub-genres of electronic music, on several occasions interrupted by a punchy bass-lines, while dominating with dark semi-minimalistic sounds. ARNAUD DIRCKX:
The sea has always been an element of inspiration for me. The fact that, in the picture, the man's brain is replaced by a stormy sea shows the torments of this thoughts. The music used in the mix-tape shows the unpredictable character of the sea. The songs vary from calm and peaceful to dark and deep atmosphere. The sea brings not only joy but also sadness... Exactly like a tormented man.

SNAKE EAT LION:
Bleed the sky - When I saw this image the first thing that came to mind was a road trip crossed with an acid trip (haha). Although that might sound a bit hectic, the image does have some kind of calm feel to it, as if everything is going to be okay. I put my mix together as if it was a playlist to a road trip down the coast on a misty morning with a rainbow shining through.

I would describe this set as a combination of Deep House & Progressive house with a little trance touch (which I cannot deny are my roots).

JAMES MAC:
The of photo lion with the unusually colourful mouth inspired me into doing a slightly more traditional club sounding mix however in following the colourful twist seen in the photo I decided to gear my track selection in the same way. A straightforward house mix but with slightly more emphasis in choosing tracks that contained disco elements really helped to represent the colourful side in the mix.

The photo that inspired me to put together this mix was mad random and gangster. So i begin the mix with F’s i give because the gents in the picture didn’t seem to give any. ARBUS PAIK:

The mix is coloured by a deep and dreamy atmosphere but not without an energetic structure which better fits for the dancefloor. The given picture gives an atmosphere of tranquility and happiness. From saying this when I look at it I feel a sense of serenity, an escape from reality. Hence the reason why I make music as I like to and make people escape from the real world for a while.

MILE END CLUB:
My mix represents the different stages of a fire from the first spark, slowly growing into a giant dancing fire all the way to a sparkling firework of cinders elevating themselves to the sky and eventually slowly coming back to that warm and calm incandescent blaze that embraces you with its warmth.
