Root to Fruit

We’re continuing our teaching series “Blueprints”. In this series, we’ve discovered who our foundation is(Jesus) and how He’s equipped us with gifts to do His will on the earth. For the past few weeks, we’ve specifically been studying the gifts of the Holy Spirit as found in 1 Corinthians chapters 12-14.

Today, we're talking about miracles!

Pastor Chris shares on the gifts of healings shown in the ministry of Jesus and how it’s still for us today.

Today, Pastor Chris continues our study on the spiritual gifts in 1 Corinthians 12.

Being wide awake means that we’ve entered a state of full consciousness. Before Christ, we were asleep, not fully aware of the situation or our surroundings. We didn’t know of the battle and who it was that we were battling. The hope we have now is that when we choose to partner with Christ and die to our flesh, to our old way of life, we became alive and awake to new life in Him. We can then ask Him to show us how He sees our neighbor or boss or family.

A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other. Love is the best way, the most excellent fruit, and the greatest commandment.

Love should be the motivation behind everything we do. As we cultivate a relationship with the Holy Spirit, He will give us the best gifts!

We are talking about power today and as we see in this verse(Lk 24:49), this is part of the promise from the Father.

Since we are sealed by the person of the Holy Spirit, we receive His power to do His work and will on the earth.

Did you know that you were sealed by the Holy Spirit when you believed? What does that mean?

Today, Pastor Chris continues our series - Blueprints.

This month, we’re beginning a new series on spiritual gifts titled, Blueprints. This is a broad topic, I’ve thought of a number of scriptures on building, but then I got a song in my heart.

"Build Your Kingdom Here."

Main Point:

If you aren’t willing to let Jesus build His kingdom in you, how can you be used to build it in others?

Who takes first place in your life, your finances, your job, etc?

Blessing comes when we SEEK Jesus and FOLLOW Him as He takes first place in every area.

Writing is a big deal to God. He wants to guide and instruct as many that will listen away from destruction. He is long-suffering, willing that none would perish; sadly we don’t all listen.. (2 Peter 3:9)

It's important to record the words of Jesus, so that you can be a faithful witness of His gospel to the world.
