  • Borrowed Rhythms: Taking What Serves You, Leaving What Doesn't | Ep.02

I have said before that you shouldn't just copy someone else's routine, and I still believe that. But it isn't the whole picture. Sometimes there's no reason to reinvent the wheel. Back when I was still a nurse, I borrowed pieces of another woman's method constantly, because I needed to see how things worked (from a more seasoned nurse) before I could understand better how to manage it on my own. And then I tweaked it. Borrowing isn't the problem. Keeping it exactly as you found it, at the expense of what you actually need, is.

In this episode I talk through a couple of things. First, borrowing from someone else and refining it until it fits, and knowing when to let it go and try something that serves you better. Second, what I mean by layering rhythms (what it is, and what it is not).

  • When the Weekly Reset Takes Longer Than You Expected | Ep. 01

Episode 1: When the Weekly Reset Takes Longer Than You Expected

A lot of you have been telling me your weekly reset is running longer than you thought it would, and I wanted to talk about that today.

The short version is this. If your reset is taking way longer than ten minutes right now, you are not doing it wrong. You're using a muscle you haven't used before, and that always takes more effort at the start. Give yourself grace here. It gets easier AND the payoff increases over time.

I also walk through the one thing that has helped my own reset go smoother than anything else, which is keeping a running list of our common meals. I share how I built mine, where I keep it, what all is in it, and how you can make your own.

    Resource mentioned:
I made a meal list template in Canva with our most common meals already typed out. It's editable, so you can make it your own, and it's sized 5x8 to fit right in a notebook. Link is below. Take it and use it if it would bless you: https://canva.link/67q46tyxkmh3b7t

    So glad you're here!
