Shirley B. Novack is a first-generation daughter of Polish and Russian immigrants, who initially graduated with a degree in Laboratory Science from Fisher College. After starting a family, she returned to school, earning a degree in Interior Design from Newbury College, leading to a successful practice since 1985. However, her true passion was writing, which culminated in her book, "The Story Of...", loosely based on her father's life as a Russian immigrant. The book is a work of fiction but contains elements of truth and serves as a tribute to her father's teachings on humility and dignity. Shirley resides in Framingham, Massachusetts with her husband Barry and their Havanese, Stevie Nicks.
