Things are tightening in the Top 14 whilst the 'Barragistes' have been confirmed in Pro D2, but that all took a back seat as third tier Nationale treated us to a historic, heart-breaking penalty shootout!

Narbonne will meet Nissa Rugby for a shot at the big time, there's another update from 'Spy School', and crowds are surging as we get to the business end of the season.

The Champions Cup Semi-Finals are here, and we welcome the brilliant Bernard Jackman to the podcast. Taking us through Leinster's chances against a Toulon side that will test their Achilles heel, the brilliance of Bordeaux and fascinating insight into his time coaching at Grenoble. Plus a full round up of a crazy week in the Top 14, and the dust is beginning to settle, at least for now, in Pro D2.

Rob is back from an epic trip for 'fan weekend', witnessing away wins aplenty as Dax win a crucial Landes derby and Pau raid the Stade Jean Dauger. We review those fixtures plus all the rest of the action, and there's Gaelic sports, terrifying bar owners and some questionable local delicacies to discuss too.

We're joined this week by Dax second row Charlie Matthews ahead of his side's huge derby fixture against Mont-de-Marsan, to discuss the Pro D2 relegation battle, life in Landes and how he went from Butcher's shopfloor to Biarritz in a matter of days.

Rob is back from his travels having witnessed a Champions Cup classic as Bordeaux prevail over Toulouse, Toulon shock Glasgow and there's off-field scraps aplenty in the Petit-Fours.

UBB and Toulouse produced masterclasses to set up a quarter final for the ages in the Champions Cup, whilst Toulon sneak a nail-biter and Stade Francais are dumped out of the Challenge Cup. We've got all the action from Europe, literal carnage in Pro D2, and a very, very mixed bag of April Fools nonsense in the petit-fours.

Rich dials in from his holidays to join Rob to run through a dramatic and entertaining weekend of Top 14 action. French teams and British fans alike will be gearing up for the return of the Champions Cup and Challenge Cup this week, so we consider: do the French teams care more than everyone else? There is, of course, a significant round of Pro D2 action to digest as well, after some significant shuffling of the pack in the Pro D2 table.

The Top 14 returned in breathtaking style, Bordeaux sweeping aside Toulouse as the Matmut Atlantique and some eye catching away wins from Stade Francais and Lyon in particular. We digest all of that, plus look ahead to the home straight in Pro D2, a fascinating Thursday night down in Provence and we're getting political in the Petit-Fours.
