My progressive take on a 70s disco classic!

"Car Wash" reached the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for only one week in January 1977 (why do I remember it being longer?)

Like so many I have a huge affection for hits from this era of my life. Perhaps it looms larger to me than it really was.

I've had the opportunity doing this rework to listen to the original over and over - it sounds like a bit of fluff on a casual listen, but I really think now on closer inspection it's a bit of genius.

Has anyone seen the movie? Would you recommend it? I gather it was not a hit but that it has gained a cult following!
