Ephesians chapter 1 is amazing in the theological beauty that it contains and highlights. This morning's sermon was on a set of verses that are somewhat distinct from the preceding verses from Ephesians 1 . In these verses, the Apostle Paul gives thanks to God for the vitality of the Christians living in Ephesus after he heard of their spiritual growth in the years since he was in Ephesus.
This passage was a difficult one to preach--in that the text doesn't seem to lend itself to 1, 2, or 3 quick "points." I decided to ask one question: "What is your prayer life like?" and then noted 4 items to pray for (indwelling of the Spirit of wisdom and revelation; knowledge of the hope of his calling; knowledge of the wealth of His inheritance; knowledge of the power of the Almighty God). At the end, I did try to point out a neat twist on these 4 items to pray over and for fellow believers. We pray that you enjoy and benefit from this look at God's Word! We would love to have you join us for weekly worship on Sundays at 11:00am. We meet at:
