Thanksgiving is a wonderful day and time of the year, but for Christians being thankful must be who we are and how we behave. Over the next few weeks, we plan to look at David's Psalm of Thanksgiving from 1 Chronicles 16. This morning we look at 1 Chronicles 16:7-13.

• To parents is given the primary responsibility of the training of children
• Children are an objective good within the context of marriage
• The raising of children is extremely difficult
• Godly parenting requires daily discipline from godly parents
• One particular sign of the last days will be parents abandoning their children and children refusing to obey their parents
