And it’s not because we’re so great. It’s not because we have it all together or because we’ve figured everything out. It’s because he is in us. His light in us is what makes us shine. Pastor Lindsey continues the "I AM" series this week.

If you are experiencing a tension, pay attention. Because that tension, that pause, that red flag, that feeling that something’s off, may very well be God protecting you from a very regretful decision.

In fact, he doesn’t just understand your heart, he took every deceitful thought and regretful decision upon himself on the cross. Will you and I still experience consequences in life for bad decisions – absolutely. But thanks to Jesus we are separated from the eternal consequences of our sins. What does God have prepared for you and for this church that will require you to pre-decide to trust God? To follow in the footsteps of Mary and Joseph from the highs of Jesus’ birth to the lows of fleeing for their life.

The kingship of Jesus, announced by the angels prior to his birth and confirmed by the wisemen, made no sense until the resurrection. Pastor Austin finises his Advent series with the Jesus as king of kings.  

When it comes down to it, as Jesus offered his life as the ultimate act of sacrificial love, so we offer ourselves to the need of others. Pastor Austin continues his Advent series with Jesus as priest. 

Jesus is the Prophet, which means that when you remember the Christmas story, it’s not just the story of a baby but of a prophet who would call the world to repentance, challenge us to live for the kingdom and kingdom values, and become the Word made flesh to show us what truth really is.
