In this episode I spoke with Dr Jane Freeman-Brown. Dr Freeman-Brown is a registered clinical psychologist with sixteen years of clinical experience in mental health and forensic settings. As well as a clinical focus Dr Freeman-Brown has steered her career to have a specialty in the interface between ethics and the law and has previously worked as a senior advisor to the Department of Corrections with a focus on psychological practice and psycho-legal issues. She recently graduated with a Masters in Bioethics and Health Law through the University of Otago. Dr Freeman-Brown has previously been the chairperson of the ethics committee of the New Zealand College of Clinical Psychologists. She has lectured on the interface of ethics and law to clinical psychology students, interns and registered psychologists. Dr Freeman-Brown is a private consultant providing supervision to other clinical psychologists throughout New Zealand.
