In this episode, I spoke with Nick Keller. Nick is a VES and Tui Award winning senior concept artist currently working at Weta Digital. Nick has worked on film projects including 'The Chronicles of Narnia', 'Avatar', 'The Hobbit' trilogy, 'The BFG', 'Ghost in the Shell', Mortal Engines, 'Avengers Endgame' and many more.   In his spare time, Nick enjoys painting with traditional media, creating fantastical and surreal imagery, mainly in oils. Such projects include collaborations with local and international bands illustrating album artwork, notably all four covers for Wellington's Beastwars.  Nick has contributed to various publications including ‘White Cloud Worlds’ Vol I - III, ‘The Hobbit Chronicles', and a number of 'Spectrum Fantastic Art' Annual issues.  Nick is originally from Tauranga and now lives in Wellington with his wife and two young sons and he is a BJJ purple belt at Combat Room Jiu Jitsu.
