  • Rough Sundays 11: Christopher Gargiule and Jazzfest

Was there a better show than the one a few months back with Brother Christopher Gargiule - known to some as the "Prince of New Orleans"? We doubt it. And with Jazzfest happening kicking off this weekend in New Orleans, we thought we'd bring him back for some more of that magic that only he, and that city, can bring.

Kermit Ruffins Tribute to Louis Armstrong – St James Infirmary (Live)

Tab Benoit – Nothing Takes the Place of You

Mahalia Jackon – Just A Closer Walk - Part One (Live)

Mahalia Jackson & Louis Armstrong - Just A Closer Walk - Part Two (Live)

Mos Def, Lenny Kravitz, Trombone Shorty and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band – It Ain’t My Fault

  • Rough Sundays 10: Tyson Meade, The Godfather of Alternative Music

Tyson Meade is one of the last great rockstars. As quirky as he is kind, as talented as 1001 Insta-famous kids these days. He and his bands Defenestration and the Chainsaw Kittens fueled the alternative scene of the early 90s and bands like the Smashing Pumpkins and Nirvana have both accredited Meade with being the reason they exist. From hanging with Iggy to moving to Shanghai to teach English, his most-recent album which dropped yesterday and his running for congress, prepare to meet a legend deserving of the title.

    David Bowie - Big Brother

Patti Smith - Horses (Land)(Full studio version)

    Tyson Meade - Buddy Dash

Flaming Lips - She's Gone Mad (Chainsaw Kittens cover)

Tyson Meade - He's the Candy

... And be sure to buy Tyson's newest album "Robbing The Nuclear Family" - in stores now!
