What we have to be able to do is look at our daily actions and refine them down to the smallest possible action and make it the starting point.
If you want to run a marathon, you can’t just get up off the couch and go run a marathon. It takes a lot of training and hard work. So much so that it’s actually quite an overwhelming task. It overwhelms us to the point that we may quickly give up. So what we need to do is start with finding the right pair shoes and putting them on. That’s a much easier starting point. From there, figure out what’s the next logical and realistic step for yourself. Maybe after putting on your shoes becomes a habit, go for a 10 minute walk and so on.
