When someone mentions worship, each one of us will think of different things. Many of us will think of music, and beyond that, each person will think of different types of music. Going back to the early church, the way we practice worship was much different than it is today. Among all these different regions and time periods, the way we worship will have some big differences, but spiritually they share similarities. This Thursday, Chi Alpha pastor Carl Nalbandian tackles the topic of worship, what it is, and why and how we worship.

Besides deciding to follow Jesus, who you marry is the most important decision you will ever make. Who you marry directly impacts just about everything in your future, your kids' future, your grandchildren’s future, and beyond. A wise and godly relationship will challenge you to grow in your faith.

When we are called to be holy in scripture, we are being called to live a pure life, separated from sin. But going further than that, it’s about our lives being set apart for God, and for his purposes.

Accepting Jesus as your savior is not meant to be a ticket to heaven. The point of The Gospel is for us to join and enter into the Kingdom of God. Furthermore, the Gospel is about bringing heaven to earth and restoring our relationship with God. With these thoughts in mind, the goal of our lives should be centered on being part of God’s new kingdom.

God wants his people to be saved from death. However, we deserve death, and it would be unjust to let us go with no punishment. Jesus, who willingly came from heaven, emptied himself and took the form of man. He took the punishment reserved for us so that we can be justified before God.
