Suffering is never wanted but, because of Christ, it is never meaningless. The cross reminds us that suffering is at the heart of the Christian faith and Christ's resurrection is our confidence that it will be transformed in this life as well as the next.

Can a person's faith grow and endure to be genuine and selfless, not dependent on God's good gifts?
