But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. Jesus Welcomes the Weary .
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. (Matthew 11:28–30)

Jesus Brought Power:

Later, just before Jesus ascended back to Heaven, He once again instructed His followers, And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover (Mark 16:17,18).

Your Life Is An Open Book.
Your life is an open book before God and all is made available to Him. You can’t hide your thoughts, your intentions, or your deeds or the lack thereof. God’s knows who you love, who you hate, and those you would rather not be around. He knows not only your heart but every aspect of your mind. You can’t hide one thing from God, not even yourself (Ps 139). Everything is God’s business and all will be revealed, even the things you have done in the dark of night when no one else was near. Not only does God know everything that will occur until the end of time (Isa 46:9-10), but He also knows our very thoughts, even before we speak (Ps 139:4). He knows our hearts from afar; He even saw us in the womb (Ps 139:1-3, 15-16). God is Omniscient. He knows everything! (Acts 15:18).

“But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness.” 1 Corinthians 1:23.

God has zero tolerance for Baal worship. Jeremiah speaks for God (Jer. 51:44): “I will punish Bel (another name for Baal) in Babylon. And I will make what he has swallowed come out of his mouth. And the nations will no longer stream to him.”

1 A PRISONER’S POOL
John 5:1-4

When Jesus is in Jerusalem, the contrast between Him and religion is seen so much more clearly.

And John says in Jerusalem there is a pool called “Bethesda, having five porticoes.”

And in these pools we have a peculiar sight.
“In these lay a MULTITUDE of those who were sick, blind, lame, and withered”

here is what I want you to see This pool is not a place of healing.
This pool is a prison.
I believe this is a place of demonic deception.
Just because the people thought it was from God does not mean it was

(Luke 4:17) “HE OPENED THE BOOK and found the place it was written, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord. And HE CLOSED THE BOOK”. He stopped reading in the middle of (Isaiah 61:2) and did not read the words, “and the day of vengeance of our God”. The Lord Jesus went on to say in, (verse 21) “This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears”.

He took my sins and my sorrows

He made them His very own

He bore the burden to Calvary

And suffered and died alone
