God is a way maker.

God is a miracle worker.

God is a promise keeper.

God is the light in the darkness.

The Word of God declares these statements, the Spirit of God affirms these truths, but as followers of Jesus, do we live by them?
Isaiah 43:16-19 This is what the LORD says – He who made a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters, who drew out the chariots and horses, the army and reinforcements together, and they lay there, never to rise again, extinguished, snuffed out like a wick: “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”

God is the Giver of Life

In Job 10:12, Job recognizes that God is the giver of life. He says, “Thou hast granted me life and favour.” Job suffered greatly, yet his acknowledgment of God as the source of life caused him to say, “Wherefore do I … put my life in mine hand?” (Job 13:14)
Job 33:4 says, “The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.” Life comes from God. God gives life, loves life, promotes life, and protects life. Throughout Scripture is clear evidence of a thriving culture of life that is produced by God.

“When He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth” (John 16:13).

We know Jesus was utterly dependent on the Father, and he is our example of yielding and trusting. Indeed, he makes clear that such a life is possible for us. If we actually lived this, God should be the captain of our souls by now. But is he? Too often, as soon as our next crisis arises, we question God’s faithfulness and give in to doubt and fear, relying on our wits to find an escape.
2 Timothy 2:15, KJV: "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."

If you’re wandering in your faith, let your eyes fall on Christ. He won’t just show you the way, He is the way. Stick fast to Him. Matthew 13 shares a teaching of Jesus where He describes a man who found a treasure so great he gave everything he had to purchase the land around the treasure thereby becoming the “inheritor” of the treasure. That’s the Lord giving all He has, His beloved Son, to inherit the treasure of the world—you and I!
1 PETER 1:23 NKJ
23 having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever,

God's Word is alive. Just like a seed -- the Bible is full of unseen life.

JOHN 6:63 NKJ
63 "It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.

Jesus said His words are alive. They contain life. The words in your Bible may look lifeless and powerless. Seeds do, too. But they are not without life or power.

. Matthew 1:23

In Matthew’s birth narrative of Jesus, he writes, “All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the Prophet: ‘Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel (which means, God with us)’” (Matt. 1:22-23). This promise of God Himself coming to earth in the flesh is confirmed by the name He is to take – Immanuel, which literally means “God with us.” When Jesus came to Earth, He ensured that God’s presence would be in the world forevermore, and His very name symbolizes that promise.
2. John 14:16-17

We know that Jesus is no longer physically present on Earth anymore. He has ascended into heaven! However, that does not mean that God is no longer present in the world. Before Jesus’ arrest, He promised His disciples that God would send another who would be with them: the Holy Spirit. Jesus says, “And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you” (John: 14:16-17).

Jesus knew that He would not be physically present in the world forever, so He promised that the Holy Spirit would come to be present with God’s people forever.

In fact, Jesus told His apostles that it is better for Him to go and for the Holy Spirit to come. Jesus says, “Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you” (John. 16:7). Even though Jesus is no longer with us in the flesh, God’s very presence dwells within His people, and He will always be with us.

“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” — Isaiah 41:10
“LORD my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me.” — Psalm 30:2
“Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.” — James 5:14-15
“‘But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds,’ declares the LORD…” — Jeremiah 30:17

What miracle of healing are you waiting for? Healing is a great need for so many of us. We have emotional, physical, spiritual and relational issues waiting for the Great Physician to intervene.
Psalm 107:19-20 -“Lord, help!” they cried in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. He sent out his word and healed them, snatching them from the door of death. (emphasis mine)
Proverbs 4:20-22 -My child, pay attention to what I say. Listen carefully to my words. Don’t lose sight of them. Let them penetrate deep into your heart, for they bring life to those who find them, and healing to their whole body.
If faith is the victory that overcomes the world, then it is important that we believe there is healing power in the Word of God. Thankfully Jesus is the One who gives us faith

As Christians, how many weeds have taken root in our lives? How many things have we poured our time and attention into that are choking out the Spiritual fruit we are trying to grow? How can we tell the difference between a weed and fruit when it is so easy to mistake one for the other? Am I watering weeds?

"For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him" (II Corinthians 5:21).

"Awake to righteousness, and sin not; .... " (I Corinthians 15:34).
"He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not" (Isaiah 53:3).

"To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved" (Ephesians 1:6).
"Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up. After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight. Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth" (Hosea 6:1-3). Read again the words, "Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD:"

If you have a need, make it known. "Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not" (James 4:2).

a. Maybe you just need a hug from someone.
b. Maybe you need physical healing.
c. Maybe you need direction for your life.
d. Maybe you need to overcome a sin problem.
e. Maybe you need restoration for your marriage.
f. Maybe you need a place to live.
g. Maybe you need salvation through Jesus.
h. Maybe you need emotional healing.
i. Maybe you need just to have someone say, "It is going to be O.K."
j. Maybe you need a word from God today.
k. Maybe you are in desperate need of some finances.
"For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure" (Philippians 2:13). "And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power" (I Corinthians 2:4).
"For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me" (I Corinthians 15:9-10).
