The Latin term Coram Deo means "in the presence of God." In a sense, we live our whole lives, Coram Deo. The psalm writer tells us that there is nowhere we can go to get away from God...and that's a good thing. This Sunday, as we continue our Lent sermon series, "God of Wonders", Pastor Mark will be preaching on The Wonder of God's Presence.

Communicating and listening to other people can be difficult. Communicating and listening to God can be difficult for us, as well. As we conclude our series on "Short Stories", we will look at a story Jesus teaches about the importance of "Listening Carefully" to our heavenly Father and keeping those lines of communication open. By the Spirit's power, we can remain tuned in to Him as He guides and directs us with the wisdom of His Word.

Forgiveness is the greatest gift we receive from the Lord. He gives us that gift, and then tells us to pass it on to others - to forgive others who hurt us. So why is that so hard? Jesus tells a parable about a man who was forgiven much, but then turns around and is unforgiving of a man who owed him little. Join us as unpack some of these stories of ancient wisdom and eternal truth, and discover how we can apply these deceptively simple lessons to our lives today.

Parables are short stories, using easy to understand elements that Jesus used to teach Godly principles.  This Sunday we start our sermon series "Short Stories - Parables of Jesus". Pastor Mark will preach on the parable of the bags of gold from Matthew 25 and we'll find that God measures our faith and our trust by the way we love each other.
