Sin will always exist in our world, and we will always need to forgive people who hurt and wound us. Considering just how much God has already forgiven us in Christ, we are called to release these individuals and, if possible, reconcile with them. That, however, can be difficult. Thankfully, as we continue in the series "Embracing Forgiveness", we will find that God's Word provides us with the guidance we need to forgive others, just as He has forgiven us.

"I know God has forgiven me, but I just cannot forgive myself." This is a comment often heard in the offices of pastors, counselors, and therapists. This Sunday, as we continue our sermon series, "Embracing Forgiveness", Pastor Mark will discuss the love found in I Corinthians 13 and help us answer the question, "How Can I Forgive Myself"? There is healing, hope, and wholeness to be found for those who wrestle with the challenge of forgiving themselves.

In Luke 15, Jesus teaches a story about a son who turns his back on his father and leaves, but then recognizes his mistake and comes back home to find a father who is quick to forgive and restore him. When we recognize our sinfulness and turn to God in humble repentance, we can celebrate the fact that we will always find forgiveness and restoration from our heavenly Father who loves us. This Sunday (August 7) we begin a new sermon series where we will first explore "Finding Forgiveness".

As we wrap up this series and look at how "Everyone Needs a Coach", we are reminded that God wants each of us to "win the prize" of being in a relationship with Him, both now and forever. And while good coaching is important, having the right coach is critical! No matter what we do in life, as long as God is directing us and coaching us through it, we can be confident that we will succeed.

Many of us love to play card, board, and online games. Most are designed to be played by two or more participants. The game of Solitaire is different. It's a game meant to be played alone. Our lives are like the games we play...sometimes we do life interacting with others...and sometimes we go at it alone.
