Welcome to another episode of RPS Presents. Today we turn our attention to DIIV. The North American shoegazers returned to Barcelona to present their latest album, A Frog In Boiling Water. An album with a recurring theme protesting late stage capitalism which was augmented with a potent live show with tailor made visuals of fake advertisements, in which the band sell themselves out to the highest bidder among other pieces of socio-political satire. We managed to get all four band members -Zachary Cole Smith Andrew Bailey Colin Caulfield and Ben Newman -  to sit on the steps on the backstage terrace of the Apolo Theatre in Barcelona to talk about the album, inner band dynamics, longevity and the power that goes with building cathedrals of sound.
