The Shay. The Heisler. The Climax. These three types of geared locomotives were the symbol of logging Railroads in America. Many along with the logging railroads have since disappeared, leaving behind a handful of survivors. In this episode, we will listen to these locomotives as they perform a new chapter in the revival steam movement. We will visit different railroads in California, New Mexico, and Washington State to witness this future action. Imagine a new world of logging steam with Geared Locomotives.
