Josh spent most of his teenage life working in the hospitality industry, working his way up from the bottom to managing well known restaurant and bar chains. All of this responsibility at such a young age gave him a real insight into just how challenging such work can be, and 4 years ago he took a risk by opening up his own sandwich bar called “Carved Meat” in Bexleyheath, Kent.
Fast forward 4 years, endless hours of hard work, and time away from family, Carved Meat has become one of the most in-demand restaurants for gourmet burgers, epic buffalo wings and smoked meat in the south east! Josh recently opened the second restaurant in the Carved chain called Carved Dive, in Bromley.
In this episode we talk about the sacrifices he’s made as a business owner, his past job history which moulded him into who he is today, and how a business needs a TEAM who buys into its vision…not just “staff”.
