Welcome in to our weekly Sunday podcast, The Rocky Top Report! Every Sunday, RTI managing editor Nathanael Rutherford and RTI contributor Aby Goodman will take a look at news surrounding Tennessee’s football team, men’s and women’s basketball teams, baseball, softball, and everything else around the world of UT athletics.

In this episode of the Rocky Top Report, we discuss the Vols’ likely two finalists for their vacant offensive coordinator position: Hugh Freeze and Chip Lindsey. Does one make more sense than the other? What do both bring to the table? We also discuss the College Football Playoff and whether or not Georgia got cheated out of a spot. Is an eight-team playoff in the future, and would that be the right move?

They also discuss two of the main candidates, Chip Lindsey and Hugh Freeze. Is too much being made of Lindsey’s time at Auburn this season when you look at his full body of work? How do Vol fans reconcile Freeze’s past baggage if Tennessee ends up hiring him? How much will a couple injuries affect Missouri’s gameplan on offense and defense? What do the Vols need to do to slow down that Tiger offense? Just how bad is Missouri’s pass defense? The RTI team also looks at whether or not the return of Derek Dooley to Knoxville moves the needle in this match-up, the most important factor in Saturday’s game, and more.

Welcome in to our new weekly podcast, The Rocky Top Report! In this weekly podcast that will come out every Sunday, RTI managing editor Nathanael Rutherford and RTI contributor Aby Goodman will take a look at news surrounding Tennessee’s football team, men’s and women’s basketball teams, baseball, softball, and everything else around the world of UT athletics.

In this episode of the Rocky Top Report, we discuss our biggest takeaways from the Vols’ upset win over No. 11 Kentucky. The Vols played their most complete game of the season on Saturday, so can that translate into two more wins to close out the regular season? Who impressed us most in the win? What does that victory do for recruiting? Does the win also signify the culture has finally changed completely under Jeremy Pruitt, or is there still work to be done? We also look at the great start to the season for the men’s basketball team and what the next week holds for them.
