God has allowed the passing of seasons and the passing of years and told us to mark those passing seasons, that we might apply our hearts unto wisdom . May the ending of this year, and the beginning of the next, Impel us to move closer to God and his will in our lives

We close the books on an old and oft painful year that we might open our arms and lives to a new year of possibility. Repentance is closing our and confessing the sins that have tormented us and opening ourselves to New life with new possibilities. We can live in the old and the new at the same time. Let follow Bible teacher Norman Kissinger as he plumbs the depth of this concept of repentance taught so clearly in Scripture.

There is a "Front Porch Grace" that precedes repentance in all of us. Theologians call it Prevenient Grace. I grew up some in the South and at the time I lived there most houses had expansive front porches some of them screened in to keep the bugs at bay. In my mind like those front porches were for getting to know someone before you let them in the door. You would be called over while on a walk to vern's corner store and called onto the porch for a spell then if a good time was had by all you would be invited in for some pie and ice cream and some ice cold sweet tea. God is using prevenient Grace to draw us to him (called to the front porch) and in response to that drawing demonstrating Grace we repent and come into full relationship with God. We come into the house with full fellowship.and provision. The important thing is we didn't invite ourselves in we were called to the porch and won over by God's goodness leading us to repentance and thus into full fellowship.

It is easy to thank God for his goodness to you but can you thank God for being good to people who irritate you or hurt you in some way. Christ gave forgiveness to those who nailed him to the cross and Stephen also forgave those who stoned him to death can we ask blessing and speak forgiveness over those who our old nature would normally hate. Now that is the meat of the word of God.

There's some treacherous territory down here that's why we need a Good Shepherd, not only to lead us but to be willing to lay down his life for us. For we are indeed stupid sheep and we desperately need a Good Shepherd... fortunately we have Jesus

We oft times say we are dying for a change and sometimes we truly are. When we live in unrepentant sin we unleash a deadly virus in our life that can only be cured by Repentance. God sets before you life and death choose life with Bible Teacher Norman Kissinger as he leads us to a biblical understanding of Repentance.

The shadow is perhaps a picture of our influence over other people. You need two things to create a shadow, your authentic self showing up in the presence of the light. The source of the light is Jesus. As you walk in the light as he is in the light you will have a profound influence on those around you

The key to learning anything is to find somebody that does it flawlessly and imitate them. Fortunately for those of us who are Christians we have the Life of Christ that we are enjoined to imitate and to be a follower of. Let's Follow him well

My Sense is there's a storm coming in 2021. We need to be ready for the storm, the only way we can be ready is to be rooted in Christ and have a root system that is connected to each other
