So how did everyone enjoy the Ibiza closing parties..... bet it was rocking. All is well here in Dubai and I've been preparing a special 7 hour mix to celebrate my 50th podcast. Anyway more about that next time. I've had a lot of requests recently for a set with female vocals and Razzy specifically asked for another Trancey set so here you go. Happy September People. I don't know where the summer has gone as usual.... Big up Sandy, Stoffel, Hartty, Lisa, Chants, Mr Pig and all the desert camping crew from last weekend. One of the good things about living in Dubai is that we now have 9 months of beautiful weather to look forward to and getting 25 of us into the desert with booze and tunes is a big part of that. I've been useless on the production front, would be so much easier if I was able to spend some time with the JamBasha crew Adam Nyquist and Chevy One back in London. I think it might be worth trying to find a Logic course to get me going. I have been booked to play at Zinc on wednesday 13th October. I did a bit of main room house record shopping yesterday to try and find a couple of tunes and ended up making this mix. It is way more housey than my usual sets and not fully to my liking but see what you think Nice one Rubber X

I leave for the Big Chill today and decided to get up early and record a new mix before i leave for the airport. I am now really late as i only have 45mins til the cab comes and im not fully packed. It has been well worth it though as this technically is my best mix yet and there are some belting tunes in it too. Enjoy!

As I have just launched my new website I thought it would be a good idea to add another mix to keep people logging onso I have done a Deep Tech mix. This is a little less progressive than usual but has some wicked tunes nevertheless. I have used tunes from Booka Shade, MrMr, Raxon, Mark Knight, Bass Kleph, Harry Choo Choo Romero, Wolfgang Gartner, Nick Fancuilli, Wiretappeur, Reverend Beat-Man and Round Table Knights to name a few. Hello People! To celebrate the launch of my new website www.djrubber.com I have treated you to a 2hr mix up of pumping, uplifting anjunabeats style trance. Big Shout out to the Above and Beyond crew, loving your work guys. I have also used tunes from Ronski Speed, Stoneface and Terminal, DT8 Project, Sander van Doorn, Gareth Emery, Cosmic Gate and the legendary Kyau and Albert. You will see I have added a members area which hopefully is not too much of a hindrance. Your computer should save your password and username so it's not too much trouble. It's been a busy month as not only have I been learning all about flash, dreamweaver and making websites but I have been getting stuck into the Logic 9 tutorials and I have created my first piece the Rubber Stamped intro which starts off my mix. This is my 3rd mix in 3 weeks! I think i have rediscovered my musical passion...... I just need to buy an Maudio keyboard and I can start my production mission. To follow my trance and breaks mixes I have done a 100minute deep, progressive, techy, house mashup. I am thoroughly loving Traktor Scratch Pro and not having to burn loads of new CD's each week. Big shout out to Grant Wilson and the crew from up the road. Also one of my parents closest friends Sheila is days from dying of cancer. Big Love to her, her husband Ron and their family. These things make you realise how lucky we all are and that the realities of life can be just around the corner at anytime. Enjoy things while you can and be nice to each other. Peace out Rubber. To follow my recent trance, breakbeat and house mixes, I thought it was about time for another jazzy, soulful, rolling, funky drum and bass one. Judgement Day is more chilled than my previous Drum and Bass mixes Sick Music and Everything's Different as the main room bangers i bought to make these mixes are just not being written at the moment. It is however really flowing and rolling and I have treated you to over 2hrs worth so it is perfect for a car journey or the like. I am sure I will be cranking this on the way to the Big Chill in August to help get me in the mood for the legendary Drum and Bass we get spoiled with there every year. I have used tunes from MRSA, Shapeshifter, DRS, Calibre, Wilkinson, Cyantific, Mindflow, Sub Focus, Danny Byrd, Underworld, Sigma and quite a few from Netsky the newest star to hit the big time from the Hospital Records stable. The inspiration for this mid month mix came from Jambasha's very own Spanish DJ and Producer Chevy One. Chevy has just completed a fat remix of a tune called Only you on Lot 49 records for Meat Katie and Dylan Rhymes feat. Iconical. The tune is front page in the beatport breakbeat charts..... If you are producing tunes then the front page of beatport is holy ground and where you want to be on a regular basis. Big respect to Chevy One for the tune I play it 2nd to last tune from the end. Please support Chevy and Jambasha and buy a copy from beatport it is only a dollar fifty or something. This mix was done using Traktor Scratch and it is literally the 2nd time I have switched it on. I am still learning and experimenting with various settings. There are a couple of glitches but if you don't try you don't learn. Enjoy the fat breaks. Rubber

Hello People, how are you doing? I hope you are all having a brilliant start to the summer whatever country you are in. I can't believe it is June already roll on Glasto and the Big Chill. To be honest I've been lacking inspiration for music over the last 6 weeks which is not normal for me. In order to combat this, I listened to the Above and Beyond podcast at full blast in my car then spent a few hours record shopping on Beatport solely for progressive, uplifting and trancier cuts of music. You will be pleased to know that I managed to get some wicked new tunes. I have just bought a Macbook and now have all the hardware and software necessary to start producing my own music. Big shout out to Chevy One and Adam Nyquist from the Jambasha crew and Greg Stainer from Radio 1 Dubai for helping me get setup. Time will tell whether I am any good at doing this or not so watch this space. After owning Serato scratch a few years ago I have also now purchased Traktor Scratch Pro in order to save me burning a million and one CD's every week. I bought it at the same time as the Macbook, I just could not resist. This mix is literally the first time I have plugged it in to use. Even though I am still using CDJ's the controls are slightly different and it will take me a while to get fully upto speed but I can safely say I am very happy with my first outing into the Traktor world.
