Rude Families! From the nurses AND patients’ perspective
As a nurse, you HAVE. run into rude families or less than ideal situations with patients and their families. C'mon... many of us were happy about the COVID rules for this reason (let's be honest, shall we)?
But, we aren't bashing families here, nor the nurses that sometimes cause these situations (listen, I said what I said). Instead, we are going to get into it from BOTH sides, because that's only fair.
But, more importantly, whether you are a nurse OR on patient/ family, I'm giving you some simple perspectives to help make your next run-in less uncomfortable and to hopefully create a space where "care of the patient" is core of it all!
