Utanonomba is a composer of rare versatility, whose musical imprint innovates in the world of video games, television, and cinema. His journey is an odyssey through various genres and styles, a testament to an unconditional love for music.
His passion for music was born in the bustling streets of Paris. In 1995, he took his first steps as a bassist in a pop-rock band, thus embarking on a musical journey that continues to diversify. Inspired by pop, soul, electronic music, hip-hop, and the emblematic compositions of Gustav Mahler, Ludwig Goransson, Hans Zimmer, and Jongnic Bontemps, Utanonomba creates music that is a true melting pot of cultures and eras.
Over the years, he has ventured beyond the hip-hop and pop-rock scenes, collaborating on film, documentary, and animation projects. For Utanonomba, music is not just an accompaniment but a silent narrator that amplifies visual stories with emotion and depth.
From bassist to multi-instrumentalist, his artistic transformation is impressive. His roots in pop, soul, and hip-hop music have been a springboard to more complex and sophisticated compositions, enhanced by his degree in musicology and his MFA in media composition. This evolution is the result of his commitment to embracing the unknown, learning from each experience, and working with joyful determination.
For Utanonomba, the musical horizon extends well beyond the current screens. His dream? To compose for major cinematic productions, where his melodies do not just follow the action but transform it, creating unforgettable moments for audiences around the world.
