We continue our series on the Psalms by looking at King David’s famous psalm of repentance. We consider how our sin is the source of our guilt, and our natural reaction to feeling guilt is to hide. This passage reminds us that the Gospel of Jesus gives us the invitation to repent of our sins and grow confident that Jesus has taken our guilt from us once and for all on the cross. 

We continue our series in the Psalms by asking questions that we are all asking and seeking answers that only God can provided in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This week Rev. Barr Overcast, a guest teacher joins us to discuss Psalm 139 to answer the question, “Can I be fully known and truly loved?” 

This week we continue to work through the Psalm by looking at Psalm 34 to answer the question, “Who is worthy of my worship?” David sings a Psalm of worship to God as he reflects on both His power and character. We consider how we are created to worship, but often direct our worship towards people/things that are not worthy of it.

In this series we have been looking to the Psalms to find the answers to life’s big questions. We look at Psalm 23 to answer the question, “What is my comfort when life gets hard?” The Biblical story confronts us with the reality that life in a fallen world means that everyone experiences hardship. Our comfort is that God, in the person of Jesus Christ, takes on the ultimate hardship of death so that we might only experience the shadow of it. 

We continue our Tuesday night series on the Psalms. We wrestle together with how the Psalms give us permission to ask the questions we are all answers, and direct us towards the answers we all desire. Looking at Psalm 8 we ask, “Am I valuable?”
