In the last year of his Presidency, Donald Trump issued an Executive
Order to ban Chinese-owned TikTok. He feared that the Chinese
government would take hold of private data and use that as a weapon
against the United States. TikTok filed a lawsuit against President
Trump claiming he didn't have the Constitutional authority to ban
TikTok.
Joe Samo details the merits of the lawsuit, the Constitutional
authority a President has to issue Executive Orders, and the civil
procedure mechanism known as the Preliminary Injunction.
As always, Joe Samo loves the comments. Keep them coming!
