Fi: Eero seisoi keittiössä katsoen tarkasti reseptiä, joka oli siististi kirjoitettu hänen isoltaikansa keittokirjaan.
En: Eero stood in the kitchen, carefully looking at the recipe neatly written in his isoäiti's cookbook.

Fi: Tänään oli tärkeä päivä.
En: Today was an important day.

Fi: Oli Runebergin päivä, ja Aino, hänen isosiskonsa, odotti vieraiden saapumista suureen perhekotiin.
En: It was Runebergin päivä, and Aino, his big sister, was expecting guests to arrive at the large family home.
