What’s the worst thing about being a runner? It’s a question I was asked recently, and it got me thinking. In this podcast, I dive into how running, a sport that brings so many positive changes to our lives, can also have its downsides. From my personal journey as a professional athlete to the psychological and social challenges, I explore the complexities of what it truly means to dedicate your life to running.

Becoming a professional runner transformed my hobby into a job—and not just any job, but one that demanded an incredible level of commitment. The biggest challenge wasn’t the training or the races, but rather the intense competitiveness I developed with myself. This drive, while key to my success, made me selfish with my time, placing running at the center of everything. It wasn’t easy, and I wonder how other runners navigate these same struggles.
