In other event news the ASICS London 10K will return to London this Sunday and the BBC reports that this year's Great North Run will not finish in South Shields.
Production at some of Nike's largest plants in Vietnam has been disrupted as Covid has spread through factories, online ultra running site iRunFar have unveiled their Best Trail Running Shoes of 2021, Wahoo have launched the Element Rival Multisport GPS watch and COROS have announced that the revamped sports science platform the COROS EvoLab.
In ultra trail event news Sabrina Verjee is among the top entries for the challenging Cape Wrath Ultra and Run Mummy Run have launched their Run Mummy Run Community Run Club in association with ASICS.
And finally, Belfast girl Emer McKee, 12, has once again broken the 5k world record for her age group!

Peloton is planning a new $400million factory in Ohio, USA, to produce its treadmills and Trail Running magazine asks, do you really need a branded sports drink for running, as an article on their website says home-made options can be just as good!
