What does it mean to be more than a conqueror?
In this episode of Running Our Race, we explore what biblical victory really looks like. Romans 8:37 reminds us that our victory doesn't come from our own strength, we are more than conquerors through Christ who loves us. But being victorious doesn't mean running without discipline, direction, or perseverance.
Through 1 Corinthians 9:24–27 and 2 Timothy 2:5, we look at the life of faith through the picture of an athlete: running to obtain the prize, practicing self-control, staying disciplined, and competing according to the rules. We aren't called to run aimlessly. There is a purpose behind our race and an eternal prize worth pursuing.
Finally, Revelation 21:7 points us toward the finish line and the inheritance awaiting the one who conquers. The race may require endurance, sacrifice, and discipline, but we don't run it alone, and we don't run without hope.
"No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us." — Romans 8:37
Being more than a conqueror doesn't mean there won't be a battle. It means the battle doesn't get the final word, Christ does. So stay disciplined, keep your eyes on the eternal prize, and keep running your race.
